Online Ready: Designing Culturally Competent and Impactful K-12 Online Learning
What do we know — and what can we learn — about designing and providing effective digital instruction that’s responsive to the needs of the school community?
This site is the home of the Online Ready project, funded by a grant from the Institution for Museum and Library Services. The aim of this 3-year project is to determine what gaps exist in the design and delivery of culturally competent online K-12 instruction, and to use that knowledge to create professional development that will specifically address those gaps. These PD offerings will be tested, assessed, and ultimately made available as free training modules. The Online Ready project will advance our understanding of culturally responsive school librarianship, inform school librarian preparation programs, and enhance the practice and impact of school librarians.
Project Personnel
Our Project Team brings an extensive background in library practice and research, while our Advisory Council is made up of prominent practicing school librarians from around the country.

Online Ready Webinars

These sessions informed the design of the Online Ready summer 2022 professional development course. All recordings are available for free!
